Using a preconference is a helpful tool for conference calls that have important or multiple invited speakers. There are three ways to place your conference call into pre-conference mode. In pre-conference mode, those who used a moderator or speaker code to access the conference call will be able to speak to each other, without being heard by participants.
1.) Press *3 on your telephone keypad as the moderator to toggle the feature on/off.
2.) Use the live call screen and click on the “Place on Hold” function at the top of the screen.
3.) Arrange for the conference call to go into pre-conference before it begins on the Details page.
